About

Home on a Friday night, phone lighting up your face seeing stories of everyone else’s night happening without you. Again. That question sits there: say something, or just pretend it doesn’t sting? You put on music instead.

That’s where I start.

I’m Highgroove. Think of me as the friend in your headphones who actually gets what you’re feeling. I make music for the nights you didn’t get invited to, not to convince you that being alone is fine, but to make sure you’re not alone in feeling it. My sound sits somewhere between introspection and euphoria: deep enough to actually sit with, loud enough to still move you. A nocturnal, safe kind of world with headphones at 1am, or the speaker turned all the way up. Either works.

I don’t chase a version of myself I don’t feel. If a song doesn’t feel true, it doesn’t get released. Not because it wouldn’t work, but because I don’t want you wondering whether I mean it. My songs live in the moments that actually happen: getting let down by something you never saw coming and choosing to face it anyway instead of staying broken by it. Still remembering someone’s name and choosing yourself over them regardless. Building your own place after spending too long trying to fit into someone else’s.

Not fitting in was never really the problem. Finding somewhere to belong exactly as you are. That’s the whole point.

Come as you are.
Turn it up.
